Information for funeral directors

The support of the funeral director industry has been a major reason for the success and continuance of the Human Body Bequest Programme. We are very grateful for your assistance with these bequests.

We are only able to accept and receive body bequests during working hours (8am-4pm) Monday to Friday. During these hours please contact the Human Body Bequest Programme on 09-923 6703 for assistance.

Outside of these times, we would appreciate if you could store any potential donor bodies in a fridge (4°-8°C), and contact us the morning of the next working day. We will make the decision then on whether we can proceed with the donation.

If you do not have access to a fridge, we have arranged with Davis Funerals that their fridge can be used until such time that the decision on whether we can accept the body can be made. Please contact them directly to arrange storage if required on 09- 638 9026.
