The Department of Medicine is known for its strengths in bone research, respiratory disease, heart health research, neurology, endocrinology, clinical trials, geriatric medicine, and neurology.
It is a pleasure to welcome you to the web pages for the Department of Medicine, in the School of Medicine at the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences. There is a large, productive and internationally recognised research output from academic staff of the Department of Medicine. Staff in the Department take on local, national and international leadership roles. Our principal task within the MBChB programme is to administer the clinical medicine attachments of undergraduate Years 3, 4, 5 and 6. The Department hosts postgraduate and other research students.
