About our department

As an academic unit within the School of Population Health, situated at the Grafton Campus, the department is committed to continually raising standards and achieving excellence in teaching and research at all levels of general practice and primary health care.

The department contributes extensively to both undergraduate and postgraduate primary health care professional education. It also houses the Goodfellow Unit which provides continuing education to general practitioners, nurses and other primary health care professionals. The research unit of the Immunisation Advisory Centre also sits within the department. We have a large staff of academic clinicians, researchers and administrators.
