“The Clinical Skills Centre provides a physical and educational resource in clinical skills learning for health professional programmes within the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences.
Our mission is to provide a safe and structured environment for the teaching and learning of professional, clinical, and communication skills.
“The CSC aims to support undergraduate and postgraduate health professional students in a simulated clinical environment with the ultimate goal of improving the quality of care given to patients in the clinical setting.”

Teaching and learning activities
The Clinical Skills Centre is a faculty resource used by the following programmes:
Research activities
We lead a platform of clinical skills research with an interest in health professional education, clinical skills learning, assessment, professional development, and student wellbeing.
Service and leadership activities
We provide leadership, educational and policy advice for clinical skills teaching and learning within the faculty. We also have a functional relationship with the Advanced Clinical Skills Centre and Simulation Centre for Patient Safety.
