FMHS Student Hardship Funds
FMHS has two hardship funds available to undergraduate students, should the need arise.
All Undergraduate Students (domestic and international) can apply for up to $1000 for support through unexpected financial hardship to the Kate Snow Fund.
MBChB Students (must be NZ citizens) can also apply for up to $4000 for support through unexpected hardship to the Wallath Trust Fund.
The Student Support and Engagement Team will receive this application and may wish to meet with you to ensure the best application is put forward to the panel of trustees.
Please remember,
- Grants are only available for essential costs
- The Student Emergency Fund grant is for temporary, short-term emergency support.
- Grants are designed to assist students in meeting expenses where it is essential to continue their course of study.
- Grants will not be made to assist with the payment of court fines, tuition fees, hire purchase, or any debts accumulated by the applicant prior to enrolling at the University this year.
