Being Brainy was developed by neuroscientists in the CBR, and was funded and managed by Brain Research New Zealand from 2015-2021.
Being Brainy is a free teaching resource, which includes programme overviews, unit plans, and lists of required resources. Teachers are provided with a full set of lesson plans with background information and teaching.
The programme ensures a high level of student interaction and inquiry, with each session including a number of hands-on activities and experiments.
Being Brainy also offers scientists visits to schools and professional development for teachers. They also run an engaging school holiday and events programme.
