Sustained wellbeing benefits of red meat consumption and meat-analogue meals
This study investigates the psychological wellbeing and physiological responses to the consumption of a healthy diet containing either pasture fed red meat or a plant-based alternative.
What's involved?
You and your partner/roommate will be provided meals, recipes and support to follow a healthy diet for 10 weeks. This study will involve you visiting the Research Facility at The University of Auckland on three separate occasions in the morning. Each visit you will be required to remain fasted, we will measure your body composition and strength test. Duration of each visit will be about 2 hours. Your bloods will be collected at any LabTest facility.

Eligibility criteria
You may take part in this study if you:
- Are 20-34 years old
- Have a BMI of < 30
- Are free of chronic illness such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes
- Have no history of any issues with taste and smell
- Are non-smoking
- Are willing to share evening meals with your spouse/partner/roommate
