Research into a new gout medication
We are recruiting a study for people who are experiencing gout and have a gouty tophus. The study will use a new medication to improve the treatment for people with severe gout.
What's involved?
This study involves regular visits to the Clinical Research Centre in Grafton over an 8 month period.
Study staff are available to advise and support you while you are in the study.
Medications to treat gout and prevent flares are provided free of charge.
Travel costs will be paid and free parking is available.

Eligibility criteria
You may be eligible to participate if:
- You live in Auckland
- Are aged over 18 years
- Have gout with at least one tophus on your hands, wrists, feet or ankles
