Suicide risk assessment in public mental health services: Public perspectives

This research seeks to understand public perspectives on suicide attempts, as well as the perspectives of people with lived experience of suicide risk assessments (or their whānau/carers) regarding those risk assessment processes.

What's involved?

A brief (10-15 min) online survey will be conducted to establish perspectives of the public on suicide attempts.

For people with lived experience of suicide risk assessment, or their whānau/carers, there will be some additional questions on suicide risk assessment processes, the measures they have experience of, and how these could be improved.

For those participants who express interest in future involvement, there may be the option of one-to-one interviews and a co-design hui later in the year.
