Thermal pulsation technology for dry eye disease
We are recruiting volunteers to participate in a clinical trial for the treatment of meibomian gland dysfunction related dry eye disease using thermal pulsation technology.
What's involved?
Eligible participants will be randomised to receive a single iLux treatment, or 6 months standard of care treatment, free of charge. The total duration of the trial is 6 months, with an initial baseline visit followed by 6 follow up clinic visits. A $20 MTA vouchers will be provided at each clinical visit attended. Participants assigned to the non-iLux arm of the trial can choose to receive the iLux treatment, free of charge, at the end of the study.
Eligibility criteria
If you have symptoms or a previous diagnosis of dry eye disease, you may be eligible to participate. You must have no history of Lipiflow treatment, or have received IPL treatment for dry eye within the past 6 months. Those with tattooed eyeliner, or who have had eye surgery within the last 3 months, are also not eligible to participate.
