Postgraduate Certificate in Health Sciences in Women's Health
The Postgraduate Certificate in Health Sciences in Women's Health is aimed at nurses, doctors, midwives and radiographers seeking to advance their knowledge and skills.
Students who complete this programme will be able to provide health care advice to women in all areas of reproductive health and wellbeing. Depending on the graduate’s professional scope of practice completion of this qualification will assist the practitioner in prescribing treatment in this area.
This specialisation is offered by the School of Medicine. Courses in this specialisation are offered in a distance learning format.
Programme structure
Students are required to enrol in, and complete at least 45 points from the following courses:
- OBSTGYN 712 - Contraception and pre and Early Pregnancy (15 Points)
- OBSTGYN 713 - Pregnancy and Postnatal Care in the Community (15 Points)
- OBSTGYN 715 - Medical Gynaecology 1 (15 Points)
- OBSTGYN 716 - Medical Gynaecology 2 (15 Points)
and up to 15 points from:
- OBSTGYN 724 - Obstetrics Residential (15 Points)
- OBSTGYN 725 - Gynaecology Residential (15 Points)
