A career in Medicine and Surgery can be a deeply rewarding one that is always evolving with many opportunities for continued learning and growth.  

Due to the shortage of health care professionals across Aoteaora New Zealand many excellent job prospects could await you once you complete the necessary training and registration in your chosen medical field. 

After gaining your Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery you need to apply for provisional registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand as a doctor. The next step is to complete two years of pre-vocational training. 

Once you have gained general registration, you can choose to undertake further specialist training in areas that you might be passionate about such as:
