About the research platform
The Analytical and Molecular Research Platform analyses samples from biomedical and scientific research projects and clinical trials.
About the Analytical and Molecular Research Platform
The Analytical and Molecular Research Platform functions within the large, well-equipped Liggins Institute research laboratory. We have cutting-edge laboratory equipment unavailable in other New Zealand research labs. We can dedicate equipment to a specific study for a fixed period, which means quicker turnaround and more accurate analysis than other diagnostic laboratories.
The Platform supports a wide range of biomedical and clinical research. Our team of dedicated and highly experienced staff understands the requirements of research projects and the assays and techniques we offer and ensures the highest quality of service for your research needs.
The Analytical and Molecular Research Platform analyses samples from human and animal studies across the university and agritech sectors. Get in touch to discuss your next research project.
Our services
- We specialise in mass spectrometry, providing targeted and untargeted (metabolomics) analyses.
- We utilise industry-proven mechanised assays (using COBAS analysers) and validated kit assays (ELISA, multiplex and colorimetric).
- Our Molecular Biology section undertakes a variety of extraction, amplification, and quantification techniques, including TRIO sequencing and analysis.
- We provide a free consultation and quoting service, working with researchers to prepare quotes for grants and completed projects.
