Computational modelling
We are applying our detailed computer models to gain a better understanding of the effects of vaping on the lungs.
We plan to use our detailed computer models of the lungs to bring together different aspects of our research on vaping. We are aiming to simulate the following things:
- How the vape aerosol is transported through the airways
- Create subject-based models of the lungs to predict how much aerosol deposits where
- Simulate cell-level changes and integrate this into our organ level models
