What's in a vape?
Our team has been analysing what chemicals are in e-liquids and the aerosol that’s created from a vape device.
We are applying chemical analysis techniques to:
- Assess the flavouring chemicals used in NZ-made e-liquids
- Measure the presence of heavy metals in the aerosol created by an e-cigarette
For this work, we created a low-cost vaping robot to create aerosol from any e-cigarette device (conforming to the ISO standards for a ‘puff’).
