Details

Dates: Monday 16 September to Friday 20 September 2024
Time: 11am-1pm
Where: Learning Lounge, Level 4, B201, 10 Symonds Street.

What is it?

Majors Week is the perfect time for first year Bachelor of Arts students to have a think about your majors and confirm what you’d like to specialise in. If you plan to continue in the majors you chose when you started studying, now is the time to confirm them. If not, you can change your majors, or come and have a chat with us about your options.

Why is degree planning important?

Confirming your majors now will help you to choose the right courses in 2024 and beyond, to make sure you can graduate on time, with a degree built around your interests and goals.

If you're unsure about which major(s) or specialisation to declare, or which module to include as part of your programme, this is an ideal time to come in and discuss your options with one of our Arts Programme Advisers.

How to confirm your majors

  1. Log into Student Services Online.
  2. In your SSO dashboard, you'll see an incomplete task in your 'To Do' list.
  3. To complete this item, you need to choose one of the following options:
    • I confirm my current Majors
    • I want to change my Major(s)
    • I am undecided
  4. If you're 'Undecided' you can come along to one of our drop-in sessions during Majors Week to chat with an Arts Programme Adviser.
