Orientation

Transnational Education science students get to participate in the University-wide orientation and dedicated TNE orientation events.

Students from Transnational Education joint programmes gathered outside one of the science buildings.

Students from Transnational Education joint programmes attend the main University Orientation events for International and Postgraduate students. There is also a welcome event and other events designed specifically our TNE students.

Orientation is designed to familiarise new students with the physical layout of the University, and its people and processes. You will also be introduced to life in Auckland and given info on the city, services and places to visit.

Orientation will involve a formal traditional Māori welcome to formally accept you as part of the University community.

We will be welcoming a small number of students under transnational education programmes in Semester One 2025 (February) and a large group in Semester Two (July).

Students will be contacted with information about moving to New Zealand and starting life at the University. If you have any questions in the meantime, get in touch on WeChat: Science_UoA

Students are required to be in New Zealand a week before classes start to participate in Orientation and welcome events. Be sure to apply for your student visa well in advance. Our friendly support team can answer any questions.
