This month we’re giving away three chocolate gift prize packs from Foundry Chocolate, the award-winning bean-to-bar craft chocolate co-founded by business alum David Herrick and his wife Janelle.
The Story of Foundry Chocolate
Nine years ago David was working full-time in marketing and Janelle in art direction when David came across an article about someone in the UK making chocolate on a micro scale and he decided to give it a go. He tracked down some cacao beans from overseas and started experimenting. In 2018 David and Janelle launched their first bars made from just two ingredients: Cacao Beans & Organic Cane Sugar. Since then they have won numerous NZ and global awards, and earlier this year won “Best in Show” at the Northwest Chocolate Festival in Seattle.
