From the Director's Desk

As the Director of the Centre of Digital Enterprise (CODE) at the University of Auckland, I am delighted to share our ongoing efforts to support digitalisation across various sectors in Aotearoa.

At CODE, we believe that digitalisation is not just about adopting new technologies but also about reimagining business processes. Our multidisciplinary research focuses on the application of digital technologies in business organizations, aiming to provide actionable insights and practical solutions.

In 2024, members of CODE continued to expand our engagement with business partners including Air New Zealand, Tata Consultancy Services, Gentrack, Boston Consulting Group  and others. It has been a busy 2024 during which CODE launched new projects into digital inclusion and AI, digital safety, digital sustainability, digital transformation and digital sourcing, platforms and ecosystems.  

While our partnership with top international companies has produced significant and impactful insights, we continued to  publish in top
academic journals as well as in professional magazines and outlets. Visit our

CODE is committed to fostering collaboration between academia, industry, and government. We strive to create a robust ecosystem that supports innovation and drives economic growth in the region. We have been closely working with industry partners to facilitate such outcomes as well as being involved in launching the Research for Impact initiative in Australasia with UNSW.

Looking ahead, we are excited about the opportunities that digitalisation presents. We will continue to push the boundaries of research and impact, ensuring that New Zealand remains a leader in the digital age.
