Master of Professional Accounting (MProfAcctg)

180 points, 15 months, full-time, quarter-based daytime classes

Gain a nationally and internationally recognised professional accountancy qualification from any undergraduate degree. Learn the fundamentals of business, accounting, finance, commercial law and taxation from NZ’s top business school to enhance your employability and prepare you for a rewarding career in accounting.

Master of Human Resource Management*

180 points, 15 months, full-time, quarter-based daytime classes

Specialist courses in HR policy and practice, HR analytics and strategic HR management are complemented by accounting, analytics, and global operations management courses. Opportunities for developing a strong portfolio of professional skills lead to a specialist HR management-focused industry-linked capstone project.

Master of International Business*

180 points, 15 months, full-time, quarter-based daytime classes

If you have an undergraduate degree in a non-business discipline or a business degree in an unrelated field, this programme has been designed to kick-start your career in international business. The MIntBus will give you the applied knowledge and skills to launch your career through an experientially based programme. You will graduate with an appreciation of how businesses, government and the global economy interact and a strong platform for professional skills.

Master of Marketing*

180 points, 15 months, full-time, quarter-based daytime classes

If you have an undergraduate degree in a non-business discipline or a business degree in an unrelated field, this programme has been designed to kick-start your career in marketing. Develop advanced skills and knowledge in business and marketing as well as a strong platform of professional skills. You will graduate with an appreciation of current international trends in practically focused marketing topics, enhancing your competitiveness.

Master of Business Analytics (MBusAn)

180 points, 15 months, full-time or part-time, quarter-based evening classes

Keen to solve business challenges using data and technology to influence organisational strategy? The Master of Business Analytics will equip you with specialist knowledge and skills needed to get work-ready for in-demand roles in business analytics, analytical consultancy and management locally and globally.

Specialisations: Marketing, Supply Chain Management, FinTech.

Master of Commerce (MCom)

120 or 180 points, full-time or part-time semester-based classes

If you have a first degree in the same discipline, this masters will enable you to pursue a specialised qualification at an advanced level. It will prepare you for specialist positions in the public and private sector or to pursue further advanced study. You can choose from eight specialisations within this programme.

Our new redesigned 180-point MCom+ offers two smaller research output options alongside the 60-point Dissertation. Students can opt for either the Research Project, which provides further training in research and disciplinary knowledge, or the Consultancy Project, emphasising applied knowledge and professional capabilities relevant for entry into the job market.

The 120-point programme offers a thesis pathway for students with relevant preparatory research experience.

Specialisations: Accounting, Commercial Law, Economics, Finance, Global Management and Innovation (includes Organisation Studies, HRM, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and International Business), Information Systems, Marketing, and Operations and Supply Chain Management.

Also available: Bridging programmes for students with a prior postgraduate degree aiming to transition into doctoral study and enhance their disciplinary knowledge and research skills.

Master of Applied Finance (MAppFin)

180 points, full-time

Learn about the forces that shape our capital markets and drive investment returns, and understand the fundamental theories of finance.

During this course, you will gain practical skills to enhance financial decision making and prepare for a career in corporate finance, investment management, banking and financial consulting.

Specialisations: Financial Analytics, FinTech, Sustainable Finance.
