About us

The Korea Studies Centre (KSC) at the New Zealand Asia Institute (NZAI) of the University of Auckland is an interdisciplinary hub dedicated to fostering collaborative research and networking among scholars with a focus on Korea and Korea-New Zealand relations. Supported by Korea Foundation and the Academy of Korean Studies, KSC is committed to conducting cutting-edge research and disseminating knowledge on Korean culture, society, and business, both within the University and across New Zealand and Australasia.

KSC also serves as a crucial platform for building strategic partnerships with industry, government organisations, and community sectors, thereby enhancing the local and regional understanding of Korea. Through its high-calibre original research, seminars and workshops, and conferences covering diverse Korea-related topics, KSC actively collaborates with various organisations, including the Korean Scholars of Marketing Science, North-Asia Centre of Asia Pacific Excellence, the New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Korea, and the Academy of Korean Studies.
