Tour details
Find out more about the tours of our new building and what you need to do to get ready for the event.
Tour description
At the beginning of 2020, we opened our brand new building to our staff and students.
We now offer the opportunity for guided tours to see how a purpose-built engineering facilty supports the academic performance and research success of our staff and students.
The guided tours will take you through active labs and workshops, and are led by current postgraduate students. The planned route takes in a range of department-specific research spaces and our guides will introduce you our ten specialisations.

Are there specific clothing or footwear requirements?
All tour attendees and staff must wear a face mask when entering the faculty building.
The tours will be entering active research and lab environments, so for your comfort and safety please wear closed-toed shoes.

Lifts are readily available and there are wheelchair ramps at each main entrance.
Can I take photos during the tour?
Unless otherwise instructed, photography is allowed on site and during the tour. However, we ask that you request permission before taking photos of staff and students or their work.
Is there parking nearby?
There is paid parking available across the road in the Owen G Glenn Building (12 Grafton Road). We would encourage you to use public transport where possible, as the campus is well served by both buses and trains.
