Engineering entry pathways

Find out about pathways to admission into our Engineering programmes.

There's more than one way to get into Engineering and we are here to support everybody through their pathways.

Now open to Year 13 students, summer courses are a great way to start experiencing life on campus.

We actively encourage Māori and Pacific students to apply for the BE(Hons).

You can still apply for a BE(Hons) if you didn’t study Calculus and Physics at a high school level.

We welcome applications from undergraduate and postgraduate students all over the world.

There are several options to gain entry into our BE(Hons) programme – find one that fits your educational history.

Many domestic students apply for the BE(Hons) based on their NCEA results.

You can apply a BE(Hons) based on the CIE taken in New Zealand Schools.

There are additional entry requirements alongside University Entrance Standard if you're applying for the BE(Hons) via the IB.
