Supply Chain Advisory Group at work…
The Supply Chain Business Advisory Group is essential to the successful operation of the CSCM and the powerhouse behind the Strategic Supply Chain Management Programme (SSCMP). Each member is enormously valuable to us as they give time to thinking about how to develop, mentor, nurture and promote capability in the University, in their organisations and across sectors. They mentor participants on the SSCMP, speak on the modules, hold site visits and speak at centre events and assess the projects that are completed through the SSCMP. In conjunction with the Graduate School of Management, they have also initiated the Supply Chain Business Research Forum with six projects in early development at this stage. Our first meeting was held this morning and 2020 will prove to be another year of great progress.
The group is comprised of 50% women and men which is very unusual for supply chain functions. As a result, it has also initiated the Women in Supply Chain series which began last year holding events at KPMG, Fonterra and Fisher & Paykel Healthcare.
This group is an example of how powerful the connection can be between business and the University.
